Listed below are new grants totaling $73,799,294 approved
during 2006 by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. Some of these
grants, as well as those approved in past years, are disbursed over a period of
several years. The net effect of these past and future commitments is that
during 2006, the foundation actually disbursed $104,310,919.
